Havre is the County Seat of Hill County and Montana’s eighth largest city, with a population of 9,310.  We are located approximately 45 miles south of the Canadian border, in the center of Montana’s “Hi-line”.

 

The City operates under the Mayor-Council form of government, which is a City Council comprised of eight representatives elected by ward and the Mayor elected at large.  Council meetings are the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 520 4th St.  Look for our agenda on this website.

Port of Wildhorse extended hours are 8 a.m.— 9 p.m. from April 29 to October 31.
